Who We Are?

Hi! I'm Kurtis

My love for the ocean and marine life developed at a very young age. I was always fascinated with the ocean and loved all water activities.

I started Aquascene Marine in 2001 straight out of uni. It’s all I wanted to do. I wanted to work in an industry I was hugely passionate about and where I could help make people’s dreams of owning beautiful aquariums a reality.

If it has something to do with the ocean, fish, coral, turtles, snakes, ponds or aquariums – I am into it. I even love the fish tank cleaning jobs and delivering the salt water to freshen up large aquariums.

More than all of that, I love the recovery and relocation work that I do (usually volunteering) and giving back to the community.

25 years in this industry teaches you a lot and we have refined our methods and processes along the way and apply well considered approaches to our projects. We know what works (by learning what doesnt many times!) and our advice comes confidence and realistic expectations. We’ve been there – we’ve done that.

We don’t shy away from any job no matter how hard, big or small. We just want to add value to people’s spaces with beautiful, clean and healthy aquariums, ponds and water features.
